Vampire-O is a fun twist on a score-O event! Find as many controls as you can, while avoiding the "vampires" who try to catch you and steal your control card.

4- and 8-Hour Rogaine event at Northwoods Park in Hot Springs, AR. This event will be a typical Rogaine format where there will be 20 to 30 checkpoints total that will each have a point value assigned based on the level of difficulty (physical and/or navigational). There will be 4 Hour and 8 Hour options, meaning either a 4-hour cut-off or an 8-hour cut-off. Racers must choose their route and strategy to try to earn the most points within the 4 or 8 hours. Racers on both courses will receive the same map and start at the same time (8:00 a.m.) but will be ranked separately. Open to Solos and Teams of 2-4 people. Each person must register separately. Solos will still be asked to provide a team name in the registration process. Pay at the event with check, cash, or PayPal. The Northwoods Trails park is just north of the city of Hot Springs and is known for its mountain biking trails (https://www.northwoodstrails.org/). Additional event details will be posted on the OCAR website and Facebook event page and emailed to registrants closer to the event.

You do not need to have an Orienteering USA membership to register for individual club events. You can choose the "Enter Data Manually" option below and register for our event. Online registration will close at Midnight on Thursday, October 30th. On the day of event, you can start any time between 10am and Noon. Course pickup will begin at 2pm. If you are going out as a group, only one person needs to register and you only pay one fee. While registering you will enter your team name, number of participants, team member names and have an opportunity to buy extra maps for them at only $3 each! This event uses an epunch timing technology. We loan epunch chips at no additional cost to participants who don't have their own. On the following page, select Yes under epunch rental if you will be using one of our chips. If you have your own, you can select No and enter your epunch chip number.

Local Orienteering Event at Olmos Basin and Park on 1 Nov 2025

The Portland Metrogaine is a long-distance, score-orienteering event in which you use a map and compass to find virtual control sites spread over a 30-square-kilometer area covering fun and interesting areas of NW Portland. Choose between a 2, 4, or 6 hour option. The MapRun® app will be used for timing, scoring, and to verify each control site found.

The Golden Goat and Golden Kid event is coming up soon!

The Golden Goat, and the shorter Golden Kid, is a mass-start event, traditionally emphasizing long and hilly courses. In keeping with tradition, there might be some deviations from traditional point-to-point orienteering (e.g., skipped controls, forked controls, or butterfly options).

In addition to the challenging Goat and Kid courses, we will offer a normal, point-to-point, Advanced Beginner course with standard, separated starts.

The TROL Season Pass gives free entry to all OCIN TROL/WARS 2025-26 Season events, November through March 2026, as well as free or reduced entry to several non-TROL/WARS events in fall and spring.

PLEASE NOTE: Only high school and younger students may participate in the TROL season-long competition. College students, and adults, who wish to participate in TROL/WARS events, may purchase a WARS season pass.

TROL participants, however, are not limited to TROL classes; they may run in any class for which they are eligible, based on gender & age.

Middle, Sprint, and Long orienteering courses to determine state individual champions and North (BAOC + GCO + Nav-X + Truckee) and South (LAOC + SDO) team champions.

Bring your flashlight or headlamp and join us for orienteering in the dark at Knox Farm State Park just outside East Aurora. This year’s event will offer two courses: a Long Course of 4 kilometers, and a Medium Course of 3 kilometers. Both courses will have fairly easy control locations. There will be a mass start. The time limit is 90 minutes. Livelox will be available and SIAC will be enabled. The deadline for online registration is 11 PM Thursday, November 6. A few extra maps will be printed to accommodate last minute walk-up registrations. The cost to participate is $10 per person ($5 for members). Juniors who are part of a Family membership participate for free. Non-member youngsters, 11 and under, accompanied by a parent, participate for free using a coupon code. The map scale is 1:10,000. Check-in at the “Milk House” at the event site (42.776808, -78.641344) will be from 5:15 to 5:45 PM. The mass start will be at 6:00 PM. Clinic teaching orienteering basics. During a 1.5 hour clinic, we'll focus on map reading and determining bearing and distance from point A to point B. ($5 per participant, limit 10 participants)

We will be at Shelter 1 which is to the south of the main parking lot.
Your score is the total of the points you punched during the 2 hour time limit. You will lose 10 points for each minute used beyond the time limit. Each control will have a reflector on it to help you find it in the dark.
What to Bring:
Headlamp or flashlight with fresh batteries
Back-up light highly recommended
Compass (we won't have loaners available)
Watch (so you know when 2 hours is up)
Emergency whistle (use three long blasts to indicate you are injured)
Water (there won't be any water or food provided)
Comfortable outdoor shoes and clothing that can get potentially dirty
A change of clothes, socks and shoes are recommended for after the event as the evening dew will probably set-in or you may get your feet wet crossing a creek
Check In will start at 5:30 PM. Beginners can start their course immediately, while Night Owl participants will receive their map at 6:00 PM in order to plan their route. If you requested a loaner fingerstick, or we have assigned you one to ensure it can hold enough control punches, it will be in the clear map bag. Bring your own pen/marker/highlighter if you would like to draw a route on your map, however be careful not to obscure important map features!
There will be a mass start at 6:30PM.
At 8:30 PM the courses close and controls will be picked up. You should return to the finish if still on the course at this time.
Everyone needs to register at the finish control and download your finger stick, so we know you are back and don't send a search party for you. This is also where loaned fingersticks will get returned.

The WARS Season Pass gives free entry to all OCIN TROL/WARS 2025-26 Season events, November through March 2026, as well as free or reduced entry to several non-TROL/WARS events in fall and spring.

PLEASE NOTE: Only adults and older juniors / college students may purchase WARS season passes. High school and younger students who wish to participate in TROL/WARS events, may purchase a TROL season pass -- but WILL be able to participate on WARS courses.

For the 2025-26 WARS season, age class is based on 2025 orienteering age (age on 12/31/2025), regardless of birth date -- including in 2026. When registering for individual events, the default age class will remain the same through the entire WARS season.

This will be the last Badger Orienteering Club event of the fall season.

Four courses will be offered:
Short (2-3km) Beginner skill level,
Medium (3-5km) Intermediate skill level,

Our annual score-o event will be at Highland Forest County Park, 1254 Highland Park Rd, Fabius, NY 13063. Registration/Check in so far will be at Pines Camp, south of main park office. Gate will be open. There will be a mass start at Noon on November 9, 2025. TIme limit 120 minutes. There is a 3 hour "HeadBanger" Class if you want to try and get them all. Classes are Male Open, Male Masters 50+, Female Open, Female Masters 50+, or Group. Please indicate in the comments section on the registration page what class you are entering. There will be yellow/orange training courses available if you want to warm up. Event fee is $8, or $5 for members of OUSA clubs- if you are a club member but not an OUSA member you still can claim the fee reduction. The Susquehanna Stumble is a Billygoat-inspired event, with a twist or two. Competitors run between most controls in normal sequential order but occasionally enter a “window” where several controls can be visited in ANY order. There is a mass start for both the Long and Short Stumbles.

Recreational Courses
White (beginner), Yellow (advanced beginner), and Orange (intermediate) recreational courses will be available each day. Registration for these courses is available through a separate EventReg form.

Regular pricing for the NRE and Stumble applies until midnight on Thursday, October 23, when late registration begins. Registration for the NRE and Stumble closes at midnight on Monday, November 3.

This is a Mass start event. Participants will have 3 hours to collect as many points as possible on the course. Each control will have a different point value. Highest total points wins, and ties will be broken by fastest time. See our website for a full schedule and precise meet location.
Start Time is 11 AM - Finish for everyone is 2 PM. There will be a 5 point per minute penalty for finishers after 2pm
Check in Time starts at 10am. You will have one hour to plan the best route for this 3 hour adventure. We will try to be ready by 9:30 but no promises here.
