WCOC Gay City Score-O Orienteering

A score-O is an exciting twist on a standard orienteering course. You visit as many controls as you can in the allotted time: either 90 minutes or 2 hours. There will be controls on your map that are beginner level through advanced but the more difficult they are, the higher their point value. The challenge is to get as many points as possible while returning to the finish in time because you'll lose points if you're overtime.

Please note the non-standard start time. Everyone starts at 10 am and finishes by 11:30 or noon. Registration opens at 9 am.

Beginners are very welcome. Free instruction will be provided.

Fees are $5 for club members (members of WCOC, HVO or NEOC) and $10 for non-members. You can indicate that you are going as a group/team. The fee is $3 per additional person in the group with a maximum of $10 per group for members and $20 for non-members. Each person in the group will receive a map. Every person must sign a waiver and can do so at the registration table before doing the course. Only one e-punch/SI stick is needed per group.

We will allow on site registration but will have a very limited supply of maps. If you are not able to register online by midnight on Wed. October 14, email the registrar or course setter to let them know you plan to attend.
