This is the third event of the 2025-26 Winter Madnaess Series. Orienteering USA membership is not required to participate in our events. Registration closes at Midnight on Thursday, January 22nd. After choosing "Register", you can use the "Enter Data Manually" option to sign up for the event. Event is in Palos Forest Preserve in Willow Springs. Start location is the parking lot on south side of W 95th Street just a bit west of Willow Springs Rd. We will gather in the parking lot for a mass start at 10am. Join us for the third winter series of Mailbox Madness, offering urban sprint orienteering training in Philadelphia (and environs). The Phoenixville edition will begin in the late morning, with lunch/Mappy Hour to follow at Root Down Brewing Company. Events follow a Score-O format, with mailboxes (and other landmarks) instead of control flags. Tag as many mailboxes as you can in 60 minutes—pace and route choice are up to you. Scoring is unofficial, on the honor system, though the map will be on the Usynligo app. Note that urban running involves risk. Please cross streets safely and carefully.

There will be a mass start at 11 am; arrive fifteen minutes early (10:45 am) to collect your map and plan your route.

Advance registration is $5. Day-of is $10.

A hands-on introduction to the sport of orienteering. After this session you'll be armed with the basic skills you need to attend one of our regular events, including understanding an orienteering map and all event logistics.

Coyote Lake – Harvey Bear Ranch County Park is a beautiful wilderness park near Gilroy with some wonderful views. In January the park will be green and lush. The terrain is typical oak woodland. It is interesting and somewhat steep. Course designer Tom De Vre will set the standard seven courses (plus a short Brown) with the help of Theo Verhoeven.

The conditions in the park are perfect: emerald-green hills, soft footing, and breathtaking views.

The 2026 Tigard Metrogaine is a score-orienteering competition in which you find as many control sites as possible, in any order, within 2, 4, or 6 hours. We provide you with a map an hour before your start time so that you can plan your optimum route. You'll need a cell phone with the MapRun® app installed and (optionally) a compass. The app keeps track of the control sites that you find and your time on the course. A post-event social includes refreshments for you to enjoy while you share your experiences with others.

Buffalo Orienteering's first meet of 2026 will be a 90-minute Score-O in Cazenovia Park in the city of Buffalo. Check-in will be at the Tosh Collins Community Center within the park, near the corner of Cazenovia Street and Abbott Road.

There is no cost for this event, but all participants must register and have a waiver on file. In addition, we will be collecting donations of canned goods and personal items for the community center's food pantry.

Pre-registration is strongly encouraged and will guarantee participation. This event is limited to 50 participants.

The 1st Map Trek event of the 2026 Nav-X season will take place at Diablo Foothills RP and Shell Ridge Open Space near Walnut Creek, CA. 2 & 4 hr courses will be offered. This event will use BAOC's orienteering map of Shell Ridge & Diablo Foothills. The map scale will be 1:12,500 with 5-meter contours. The start will be at the Patrick Hanna Grove Picnic Area which has free parking. This event will use the app "MapRun" for timing on your own schedule. The competitive window for this event is December 20, 2025 - February 28, 2026. Results during this time period will be included in the official results and accrue Nav-X series points but the course will still be available on MapRun until Dec 1, 2026, after which it will move to the archived courses. Upon registration, you will receive (1) registration confirmation, (2) within 24 hours, a separate email with links to map documents. There are also some options for getting a pre-printed map.

The TROL Season Pass gives free entry to all OCIN TROL/WARS 2025-26 Season events, November through March 2026, as well as free or reduced entry to several non-TROL/WARS events in fall and spring.

PLEASE NOTE: Only high school and younger students may participate in the TROL season-long competition. College students, and adults, who wish to participate in TROL/WARS events, may purchase a WARS season pass.

TROL participants, however, are not limited to TROL classes; they may run in any class for which they are eligible, based on gender & age.

The WARS Season Pass gives free entry to all OCIN TROL/WARS 2025-26 Season events, November through March 2026, as well as free or reduced entry to several non-TROL/WARS events in fall and spring.

PLEASE NOTE: Only adults and older juniors / college students may purchase WARS season passes. High school and younger students who wish to participate in TROL/WARS events, may purchase a TROL season pass -- but WILL be able to participate on WARS courses.

For the 2025-26 WARS season, age class is based on 2025 orienteering age (age on 12/31/2025), regardless of birth date -- including in 2026. When registering for individual events, the default age class will remain the same through the entire WARS season.

This pass covers all event fees for our Winter Get Out and Go Orienteering (GOGO) series. If you have a season pass, there is no need to register for events individually.

Come join us for the 4th annual Ouachita Wilds 4- and 8-Hour Rogaine event!  This year we will either be at Blue Mountain/Rattlesnake Ridge again or possibly at a new location in the same area near Lake Maumelle (west of Little Rock, AR).   This event will be a typical Rogaine format where there will be 20 to 30 checkpoints total that will each have a point value assigned based on the level of difficulty (physical and/or navigational).  There will be 4 Hour and 8 Hour options, meaning either a 4-hour cut-off or an 8-hour cut-off.  Racers must choose their route and strategy to try to earn the most points within the 4 or 8 hours.  Racers on both courses will receive the same map and start at the same time (8:00 a.m.) but will be ranked separately. Open to Solos and Teams of 2-4 people.  Each person must register separately.  Solos will still be asked to provide a team name in the registration process. Pay at the event with check, cash, or PayPal. Additional event details will be posted on the OCAR website and Facebook event page and emailed to registrants closer to the event.

Welcome to the 2026 U.S. Orienteering Championships, featuring three new or fully updated maps of Maryland terrains and taking place March 20-22.

This event will also serve at the Team Trials for the JWOC and WUOC teams.

The 2026 Nav-X Club Membership gives you access to 28 archived Nav-X GPS courses: 2025 (4), 2024 (6), 2023 (5), 2022 (5), & 2021 (8) + $4 discount to Nav-X GPS events and discounts to events put on by other OUSA clubs (e.g. BAOC and GCO). It's $35 for new members and $25 for renewing members, $10 off for juniors. New for 2026 is an option to register for a season pass for the entire Nav-X season. If you choose this option, you will receive a preprinted large-scale map (11"x17" or bigger) mailed to you at the beginning of each GPS event window and will be registered for each event. However, you need to choose just one race category for the entire season. If you choose the Short Course season pass ($120 adult, $60 junior), you must only participate in the short course at each event. If you choose the Long Course season pass ($150 adult, $75 junior), you can choose either the short or long course at each event.
