Please join us on Saturday, December 5th at Bell's Bend Outdoor Center for a 4 Hour Scatter-Orienteering Event. This type of event is perfect for beginners and teams. It is also good for those that want a challenge as you are the one that determines how far you want to push it.
This is a Mass start event. Participants will have 4 hours to collect as many VALUE points as possible on the course. Each control FLAG will have a different point value. Highest total points wins, and ties will be broken by fastest time. We will offer beginners instruction for those that request it. Start Time is 11 AM - Finish for everyone is 3 PM. There will be a 5 point per minute penalty for finishers after 3pm.
Check in Time starts at 10am. You will have one hour to plan the best route for this 4 hour Navigation adventure.
Categories are either solo or team such as Scouts, JROTC, etc. We strongly encourage your team size to consist of no more than 2 people. We do allow teams of 3 if necessary. If you want to go out in a group of more than 3, please sign up in the Group Recreational Category.

If you are coming as part of an organized large group such as Scouts, JROTC, etc. please let us know via email before signing up.

Event will only be cancelled for severe weather or conditions prevent us from hosting the event. Just rain or snow we are on. If the Park closes then the event is cancelled.
When signing up, you can sign up for a team but each person has to register. If you are with team-mates, be sure to create a team name and have your team mate pick the team name you created.
