2022 CNYO Rogaine
CNYO's Annual Summer Rogaine in a 6 hour version. Score-O format. Will feature closer controls (40) similar to last years event. We recommend teams of 2-5 people though we will allow experienced solo orienteers. Some COVID protocols (see main CNYO event info) . No Mass start, maps available at 0800, staggered starts offered anytime between 0800-1100. Must finish by 1700 (5 PM) to avoid penalties. No e-punching, standard pin punching. No award ceremony or food tho there will be two water points on the course. Map Scale 1:25,000 with 5 m contours on 11x17 sheet. Classes are Junior, Male, Female, Mixed, Veteran (all over 40), Super Veteran (all over 55), and Ultra Veteran (all over 65). Fee is $25 per person. There is some camping available at Spruce Pond in the Morgan Hill state forest, requiring advance registration with the DEC, and a couple of other road accessible campsites in the state forest available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Aside from the normal campsites, it is of course permitted to camp anywhere in the state forest as long as you are further than 50 yards from a road, trail, or water (with the exception of the designated campground.
